Day One
 
Aberdeen’s Sports Village played host to the 2016 Scottish Home Nations Summer Meet, from July 15th to July 17th. Stockport Metro had one competitor, Jessie Harper, who qualified for a total of 9 events.
On day one, Jessie faced her first event in the 100 Freestyle. Her time 0f 1:02:33 secured her a place in the evening’s finals. Over the course of the morning Jessie also qualified for finals in 50 Backstroke, touching in 33:55, and for 200IM with a time of 2:32:98
Finals: 100 Freestyle 1:01:69 Jessie took second place, receiving a Silver medal.
50 Backstroke, Jessie touched with a PB of 33:25 in sixth position.
200IM a second PB 2:32:44 earned Jessie a bronze medal, finishing third.
 
 
Day Two
 
Day two saw Jessie facing a busy programme consisting of four events over the course of a morning: In 50 Freestyle she finished with a time of 28:98, her time of 2:31:60 in 200 Backstroke attained Jessie a personal best, she touched in 1:11:21 in Event 206 100 Fly and finally her last race of 400 Freestyle saw her record a time of 4:53:16. Jessie finished within the top six for all four events, securing her places in the evening finals.
Finals: Jessie achieved her second personal best of the day in the 50 
Freestyle final, finishing in 28:57 in 6th position.
Next, Jessie swam in the 200 Backstroke and 100 Fly finals finishing 
in 2:32:51 (7th) and 1:09:36 (6th) respectively.
400 Free completed the day’s racing, Jessie finishing in 4:55:24 (7th).
 
Day Three
 
On Sunday 17th July, Aberdeen Sports Village hosted the last events of the Scottish Home Nations bringing the Summer Meet of 2016 to a close. Jessie competed in her last two events of 50 Fly and 200 Freestyle. In both of her morning races, Jessie qualified for finals.
 
Returning later in the evening, Jessie earned herself another personal best of 30:99 in 50 Fly, finishing in 5th place. In the 200 Freestyle final, Jessie finished in 4th position with a time of 2:16:02.
